The Fifth Session of Sustainable Development Forum on Water Resources

with Over 300 Political and Business Leaders including Chairman of Committee in South Korea

On 5th July, “Culture andArt Gala for China- R.O.K Scientific and Technological Innovation, Culture and Art Development Forum cum The Belt and Road Sustainable Development Forum on Water Resources” for The 25th Anniversary of Establishment of China- South Korea Diplomatic Relations was solemnly held in Sheraton Hotel in Seoul, South Korea. Over 300 political and business leaders, community leaders and elite from all walks of life such as Chairman Dato’ Sri Prof. Ng, Tat-yung, Founder of World Trade United Foundation, Zo Jung Sik, Chairman of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee of National Assembly of Republic of Korea; Yoon Kwan Seok, Member of National Assembly of Republic of Korea; Kang Beum Dea, Vice Chairman of Policy Committee of South Korea’s Ruling Party, gathered together.

This activity was jointly hosted by World Trade United Foundation and Seoul Overseas Chinese Service Center, and undertaken by South Korea Association of Performers and R.O.K- China Non-Governmental Economic Cooperation Forum, with Hong Kong Heaven Springs Dynasty Harvest Group as the exclusive sponsor.

In the China- R.O.K Scientific and Technological Innovation, Culture and Art Development Forum, Chairman Dato’ Sri Prof. Ng, Tat-yung, Founder of World Trade United Foundation, said that as geographical neighbors, China and South Korea have close people connection and cultural exchange. China- R.O.K relationship is one of the most important bilateral relations in Asia-Pacific Region. At present, China has become the largest trade partner, the largest export market, the largest country of import and the largest investment destination of South Korea. The good neighboring relationship between China and South Korea does not only meet the fundamental interest of the two peoples, but is also beneficial for the peaceful and stable development of Northeast Asia. He expected that, in front of the political mutual trust and strategic interests that have accumulated for 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, we should enhance communication, expand cooperation, promote the healthy and stable development of non-governmental diplomacy and inject positive energy in the aspects such as people and cultural exchange and economic and trade cooperation. We should focus on long term and overall situation, work hard to maintain the stability and development of Northeast Asia. We should also achieve consensus and coordinate our actions, so as to make contribution for the happiness of the people of the two countries.

Zo Jung Sik, Chairman of Committee of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of South Korea and Member of Assembly said that China and South Korea are not only neighboring countries, but also countries that realized common development through peaceful communication in history. He firmly believed that the friendly relationship of the two countries can make outstanding contribution worldwide, especially in the peace and development of Asia.

He thought that the kind of non- governmental exchange activities could make contribution for the friendly relationship of the two countries; especially when President Moon Jae-in arrived Berlin, Germany and started the visit. He expected that in a near future the top meetings of China and South Korea could also be held.

Zo Jung Sik also said that World Trade United Foundation had made outstanding contribution in the aspects such as economic and trade culture, charity activities and international exchange. WTUF had also organized non-governmental diplomatic activities in South Korea in various aspects, especially the celebration of The 25th Anniversary of Establishment of China- South Korea Diplomatic Relations. This event is a historical breakthrough.

Yoon Kwan Seok, Secretary General and Member of National Assembly of South Korea, said that on the 23rd Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Ties, he had a friendly discussion and communication with Chairman Dato’ Sri Prof. Ng, Tat-yung in National Assembly of South Korea. The two countries had cherished the relations and friendship between each other since the ancient times. Although the two countries had met some problems in short term, he believed that this kind of cultural exchange activities would turn the relations of the two countries better. He believed that the friendly atmosphere of the activity that night could spread around, not only for celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations, but also positive influence the next 100 years between the two countries.

Yoon Kwan Seok also said that South Korea had not rained for the recent several months and they had been very worried before. But these days during the visit of Chairman Dato’ Sri Prof. Ng, Tat-yung to South Korea, it started to rain. They were very happy and considered it as the rain for welcoming the visit of Chairman Dato’ Sri Prof. Ng, Tat-yung and Visiting Mission.

In his speech, Wang Haijun, Chairman of Association of Overseas Chinese in South Korea and Director General of Seoul Overseas Chinese Service Center, especially mentioned that overseas Chinese in South Korea has exceeded 1 million. With the increase of Chinese-Korean and overseas Chinese in South Korea, since they are not only familiar with long history and culture of China, but also know about the national condition of South Korea. They are the bridge and bond of the people of two countries, they are the best ambassadors of R.O.K- China cultural exchange, and also are the beneficiaries of R.O.K- China friendly relations. We shall, making full use of the advantage of being familiar with national condition, political and social situation of the two countries, tell the good stories between the two countries, positively and actively publicize the culture of the two countries, increase the mutual trust of their peoples, and promote the friendship of the two countries from the civil level.

Stanley Leung, Senior Vice President of Hong Kong Heaven Springs Dynasty Harvest Group addressed a speech on innovative technology and environmental issues of water resources in China, South Korea and even in the world. He also gave an introduction to Hong Kong Heaven Springs Dynasty Harvest Group. To solve the problems faced by water resources, the Group has successfully developed the world’s first “Atmospheric Water Generator” with more than 80 international patents, achieving water generation from air.

Choi Il Howa, Chairman of South Korea Association of Performers, and Ji Young Mook, Chairman of R.O.K- China Non-Governmental Economic Cooperation Forum respectively delivered a speech. They hoped that the friendly relations of the two countries, and mutual trust in culture and economy could be continued, and efforts could be made for promoting the peace, friendship and joint development of the two countries.

The cultural and art feast was held in a harmonious and warm atmosphere. The culture and art ambassadors from the two countries gathered together, with a collection of stars. Korean superstar Eun-kyeong Lim, Korean artist Choi Il Howa, Shine Yang, Image Ambassador of World Trade United Foundation, Qiqige, Love Ambassador, QUEEN B’Z, super popular Korean girls’ idol group, and Paradise, super popular Korean boys’ idol group, offered splendid music on the same stage, reaching one and another climaxes with integration of R.O.K- China music.
