The Eighth Session of Sustainable Development Forum on Water Resources, Dushanbe

With Over 1000 high-level officials including Executive Heads of the United Nations, Presidents and representatives from 172 countries and international NGOs

On 20th June 2018, The UN’s High-Level International Conference on Water Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028 was open in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, where Heaven Springs Dynasty Harvest Group is one of the partners of the Conference. A delegation led by Dato’ Sri Prof. Ng, Tat-yung Member of International Steering Committee, Datin Sri Dr. Ng, Tsz- yan Irys Chair of Heaven Springs Dynasty Harvest Group of Hong Kong and Mr. Miao Gengshu Vice Chair of the Group, attended the Conference. H.E. Emomali Rahmon President of Tajikistan, H.E. Miroslav Lajčák President of the UN Assembly and H.E. Liu Zhenmin the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs addressed speeches at the opening ceremony with over 1000 representatives of 172 countries and international NGOs.

The other participants also include political officials from the United Nations and many countries, EU Chairman, and representatives from the international organizations such as OSCE, SCO and CIS. Over 2,000 guests from 172 countries attended this High- Level International Conference on 20th.

With “Water for Sustainable Development” as the theme, the UN’s High-level Conference on Water Decade for Action was successfully held from 20 to 22 June 2018 in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. The President of Tajikistan officiated over the Opening Ceremony and the Prime Minister officiated over the Closing Ceremony, with the participation of high-level leaders including presidents and prime ministers from many countries as well as Under-Secretary General of the United Nations. Representatives of 172 countries to the UN had a 2-day plenary session “Mobilizing Action for Sustainable Water Development” and 6 Action Panel sessions aiming at sustainable development goals.

World Trade United Foundation (“WTUF”), Baima Aose International Charity Foundation and Heaven Springs Dynasty Harvest (“HSDH”) Group were also invited as partners of the High-Level International Conference.

The conference proceeded with heated discussions regarding the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the “Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development” and the SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation facilities. As a partner of the Conference, Heaven Springs Dynasty Harvest Group presented its atmospheric water generation technology with more than 100 related patents that exploits a rich natural water resource from atmosphere, generating water from the air, as a breakthrough solution to sustainable water development, which made a huge splash and drew high attentions of delegates and representatives to the UN. There is a lot of media interviewing the Group for Atmospheric Water Generation was surprised by this globally patented “Black Technology”. Heaven Springs’ bottled Sarez Lark Glacial Water and Atmospheric Water sponsored by the Group was consumed out by participants, meanwhile, many funds and organizations from all over the world expressed intentions for investment and further cooperation.

Dato’ Sri Prof. Ng, Tat-yung independently developed “Atmospheric Water Conversion System” and “Air Purification and Condensation Technology”, and owns more than 100 patents within PTC system of WIPO. The revolutionary innovation realizing “Water Generation from Air” can create new water sources that are independent, reliable and sustainable and provide solution for sustainable development of human water resources. As a partner of the UN’s High-level Conference on Water Decade for Action and the official drinking water for the Conference, HSDH Group displayed its scientific achievement of atmospheric water generation and its practical application in the international exhibition. It attracted the attention of the representatives from many countries to the UN. They agreed that the invention is critical for solving the water problem.

The atmospheric water generation project of HSDH Group became the focus of the Conference. As the official drinking water for the Conference, as well as the only innovative green technology group from Hong Kong that displays atmospheric water generation technology during the meeting, its invention patents have had worldwide registration in WIPO- PCT system, realizing “wherever there is air, there is safe drinking water”.

International Steering Committee meeting of the UN’s High-Level International Conference on International Water Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028

On 19 June, International Steering Committee (the “ISC”) meeting of the UN’s High- Level International Conference on International Water Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028 (the “Conference”) was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. H.E. Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan; and H.E. Liu Zhenmin, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs respectively gave speeches. In the meeting, the ISC members from various countries discussed on 17 SDGs, Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and the plan and goals for the meeting, to help promote and maintain the sustainable development of global water resources and achieve water-related feasible goals. The meeting took place in a warm atmosphere.

As a member of International Steering Committee (the “ISC”), Dato’ Sri Prof. Ng, Tat-yung took full participation in the High-level Conference and the development of the outcome documents such as Final Declaration for Launch Event and Policy Dialogue. He advised on the 17 SDGs of Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development like improving water management, ensuring clean water supplies and sanitation services, and gave a speech named “Water Resources Solution of Water Generation from Air”.

On 23 June 2018, H.E. Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan met with the party of Dato’ Sri Prof. Ng, Tat-yung, Member of Steering Committee of UN’s High-Level International Conference on International Water Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028 (the “UN’s High-level Conference on Water Decade for Action”), Datin Sri Dr. Ng, Tsz- yanIrys, Chairperson of HSDH Group in Hong Kong and Miao Gengshu, Vice Chairperson of HSDH Group in Hong Kong and former President of China Minmetals. Minister Aslov highly praised HSDH Group for its major contribution to the UN’s High-level Conference on Water Decade for Action and awarded Recognition Certificate on behalf of Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan.

Start people-to-people dialogue between China and Tajikistan; promote green economic development along the “Belt and Road”

Minister Aslov of Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan highly recognized the support of Hong Kong delegation from China led by Dato’ Sri Prof. Ng, Tat- yung as well as the official partners including Baima Aose International Charitable Foundation, World Trade United Foundation (“WTUF”) and HSDH Group to the UN’s High- level Conference on Water Decade for Action. He looks forward to and is quite confident of the partnership of the two parties in future. In the UN Water Decade for Action, Tajikistan will build “International Center for Water Resources” which needs the support and participation of all the governments and NGOs, and Dato’ Sri Prof. Ng, Tat-yung has made great contributions for this plan. Minister Aslov also highly praised HSDH Group, for it had displayed atmospheric water generation technology to the world in the “Water for Sustainable Development” international exhibition, which had attracted the close attention and great interest of the UN. He hoped that HSDH Group could have in-depth discussion with the countries and regions suffering from serious water shortage such as Central Asia and Middle East on the cooperation program relevant with atmospheric water generation, to jointly address the issue of sustainable development of water resources.

Dato’ Sri Prof. Ng, Tat-yung appreciated the invitation of Tajikistan governmentandForeignMinistry.He said that the success of this high-level conference had laid a good foundation for Dushanbe to be the global center for water resources and for increasing the international influence of the UN’s Water Decade for Action. The scale and influence of the Conference will also change global water situation. He hoped that the cooperation between China and Tajikistan on green economic development could be promoted through this public diplomacy. Meanwhile, in the activity of visiting Lake Sarez arranged by Tajikistan government, it was proved again that the combination of the rich fresh water resources of Lake Sarez and atmospheric water generation of HSDH is of great benefit for promoting the sustainable development of Tajikistan and even the five countries in Central Asia. Finally, Dato’ Sri Prof. Ng, Tat-yung sincerely invited Tajikistan to participate in the 9th “Water Resources Sustainable Development Forum” to be held in Hong Kong China this October, which is jointly organized by many embassies in China and co-organized by the organizations from China, South Korea, the United States and Australia.
